About the Commissary Kitchen
As part of our food entrepreneurship training and support program, Alchemist CDC operates the Alchemist Kitchen at 882 El Camino Ave, a shared-use commercial kitchen in which dozens of small food businesses operate and prepare their food safely and legally. The kitchen is only available to rent on a monthly membership basis, with priority first given to Alchemist Kitchen Incubator businesses, then to graduates of the Alchemist Microenterprise Academy, and finally to the general public. Equipment and Amenities
All monthly users of the kitchen have access to shared kitchen appliances (such as the range, oven, and commercial mixer), a library of supplies (such as sheet pans and utensil), and dedicated storage. While individual businesses may need to provide their own specialty equipment, the kitchen is well-stocked to help a small business launch and grow without a major upfront investment in commercial grade items. Affordable Pricing
We created this kitchen to support small businesses and recognize that high prices for kitchen rental present major barriers to starting up and scaling up profitably. Our pricing structure offers some of the most competitive rates in the region, with increasing discounts for Alchemist Microenterprise Academy graduates and Alchemist Kitchen Incubator businesses.
