The Incubator Program

After successful completion of AMA training, Alchemist Kitchen participants are eligible to apply for a spot in the Incubator Program. Incubator businesses work closely with Alchemist CDC staff to develop their businesses, build assets, and achieve benchmarks towards business stability.

Due to the highly personalized suite of resources and mentoring, the Incubator Program only accepts small cohorts about 2-5 businesses at a time. Businesses Incubation lasts up to 5 years. Incubation includes:

  • One-on-one business support and guidance
  • Advanced mentoring
  • Technical assistance
  • Finding financing options
  • Connections to business opportunities
  • Discounted access to commercial kitchen space

Incubator Program participants develop individualized benchmarks and work with program staff to ensure benchmarks are met. Businesses also develop a progression plan for eventual graduation out of the Incubator.

Target participants for the Incubator Program are under-resourced food entrepreneurs from low-income backgrounds or historically disenfranchised populations.
